In 2018, when I returned to Richmond from deep blue Arlington, I recognized that “the road to the majority runs through Henrico” and I immersed myself in the Henrico County Democratic Committee. I have hosted fundraisers for Democratic candidates, volunteered as a poll greeter, and served as a member of the Henrico Democrats’ bylaws committee.
Outside of my work for HCDC, I work as an attorney, helping clients handle complex internal investigations and government enforcement inquiries. I serve as the Secretary of the Board of Directors for La Cocina VA, an Arlington-based nonprofit that provides bilingual culinary training programs to help low-income individuals find jobs that pay a living wage. I am a mentor at Startup Virginia, a Richmond-based nonprofit dedicated to building a long-term, sustainable economy for Virginia. And I have volunteered or provided pro bono legal services for legal aid and gun violence prevention organizations. When I’m not at the office or volunteering, you can find me jogging through the West End or playing sideline coach at my kids’ soccer games.
